Reading Railroad T-1 . Quakertown National Bank . Agency . MediaDynamics . Pen & Ink . 14" x 17"

... the Reading T-1 #2124 is one of thirty, Baldwin I-10a 2-8-0 "Consolidation" locomotives, re-built and converted to a 4-8-4 "Northern"
by the Reading Company at Reading's own shops in Reading, Pennsylvania between 1945 and 1947. Reading T-1 #2124 is illustrated
pulling north out of the Perkasie Tunnel on the Lansdale - Bethlehem line. I remember this engine from my youth. My mother went
crazy whenever she had freshly laundered clothing, hanging out on the wash line to dry, and one of these steam engines went by.
She had about 5 minutes to pull it down before the ash and cinders drifted over and began to fall. Number 2124 currently resides
at the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

A Giclee Print is available of this pen & ink drawing / railroad art.
